I am Janus, I am a chimera
With more than one face I sail time.
One is reserved for the everyday play,
One for when your eyes arrive,
Flares kindling my sabulous cloud
The first face was its teacher
In tilting, bending and crooking into a smile
The second’s forever in that state
Of exhaltation, of loving, sate
And still never of you,
Evercraving that ignition,
Enthralled by your merry hands
Plucking those ancient lights,
Raspberries in a London park,
For your cellar of ribbons,
Velvets, gems and lores
And you lay them all out
When the loudness goes dreamy
In the long neck of a fortress
That has never touched the ground
Where the wizards doubt the stars
That I resolve, in your joy
And you let them flutter
As dancing moths and candles
As your legs in muddy jazz
Playing for them with your voice
Their stories, somewhere true
You rained down a castle,
Tidemaker of sunken walls
You made mine crumble and drew
Impossible forests in their place
Of mushrooms, fractals, and lichens
To carouse, explore and chase
Faeries, wisps and sprites
We go through shields and curtains
To gone cities, hidden towns
Out of reach for the unlost
Here’s the paradox:
I found you, and myself in the embrace,
And the impulse to tirelessly get lost again
In your curves, corners and gaze
